Issue Overview
Fishing is one of Maine’s most cherished, prosperous, and storied industries. The fishing and lobster industries are the backbone of our communities and over-regulation and government intervention is decimating the industries future. NOAA continues to wrongfully promote the falsehoods of our fisherman’s impact on whale populations and Maine’s marine life leaving our fishermen and lobstermen in turmoil
The Starboard’s Solution
The Starboard Alliance is working closely with advocacy groups in and across New England to help affect change as it relates to over regulation. We must support the lobster and fishing industry because without it, it will cause a domino effect negatively impacting restaurants, hotels, and other businesses throughout the state.
